A unique mixture of music, visual arts, film, improvisation, theater and action art.
Are you bored with the usual concert formats? Do you want to make more of a statement with your music? Do you want to create a unique concert project with like-minded people? Then you've come to the right place!
«The Other Concert» focuses on musicians, composers, virtuosos, improvisers, actors, dancers and artists who are looking for creative new forms of concert practice.
Under the direction of the renowned Swiss composer, saxophonist and flutist Daniel Schnyder, a program will be created in the interdisciplinary workshop «The Other Concert», which will take place from September 4 to 7, 2023 at the Jazzclub Moods Zurich. Some of the compositions of the program will be developed during the course. The workshop will conclude with a concert.

Admitted persons
The following instrumentalists are wanted for the project:
- Woodwinds & Brasswinds:Flute, oboe, clarinet, bass clarinet, bassoon, trumpet, horn, trombone, saxophone
- String instruments:Violins, viola, cello, double bass, harp
- Further instruments:Piano, percussion, altus
Applications are open to young people aged 17–24 who are SJMW prize winners and interested prize winners from other European countries as well as music students from all over Europe.

- Drawing and Playing; an artist draws and the musicians play «it». Interpretation and improvisation.
- Playing of existing graphic scores created during the workshop and show them in concert

- Language and music (the sound of language, speech rhythm and music, poetry and music)
