Would you like to learn the music of a Swiss composer of the 20th century? If so, the chamber music course «Hommage à J.-F. Zbinden» is the right choice for you.

Julien-François Zbinden, who was born in Lausanne and died in 2020 at the age of 103, lived through an entire century of musical creation as a composer, pianist and radio producer. His extraordinary œuvre of over 100 works covers all genres, from solo instrumental pieces to opera. This year, the course will focus on J.-F. Zbinden's music for keyboard instruments (organ, piano) and solo violin (with or without keyboard). The course will take place at the Centre de Musique Hindemith in Blonay (VD), in an idyllic setting just 10 minutes from the lake. Under the artistic direction of composer Richard Dubugnon* and his team. A small, select group of young talents will perform works by Bartók, Stravinsky, Hindemith, Ravel, Frank Martin, Poulenc and other composers, as well as works by Julien-François Zbinden.
